About Everyday Loans

Everyday Loans was started in 2006 with the express intention of helping those with a less-than-perfect credit history get the unsecured loan they need. They have a branch network covering the UK. Their case-by-case approach means they can be more flexible than other lenders about when and how much they lend.

Loan Summary:

Lender Ratings:

Everyday Loans scores 4.8 out of 5 based on over 2,100 reviews on Feefo and 4.7 out of 5 based on over 3,300 reviews on Trustpilot. This places them higher up the rating spectrum than many of its competitors. Rate and review them now.

How the Branch Network Works

Everyday Loans has a network of branches around the UK that cover c.80% of UK postcodes – so there is a high chance that there’s one near you. They are continuing to open new branches to help extend their reach. Where there is no branch they can on occasions lend from a central team (though terms are stricter).

Once you have applied online and been accepted the branch will get in touch and arrange a time for you to visit. At this point you take any documentation with you they ask for and complete the process. The loan can be paid can be made immediately.

Compare Everyday Loans to Other Lenders

For clarity here are the key differences of Everyday Loans to the “typical” or “average” personal loan lender:

Advantages

  • You are soft-searched when you apply online – this does not leave a footprint on your credit file.
  • Your meeting at a local branch office means they have more discretion over the lending decision.
  • Loan rates are as low as 19.9% (rep. 99.9% APR).
  • Excellent customer feedback.
  • They do not charge any fees.

Disadvantges

  • The required branch meeting will slow down the lending process compared to one that is 100% online.

Everyday Loans’ Representative Example

Borrow £3,000 for 24 months. Representative 99.9% APR fixed. Monthly payment £237.75. Interest payable £2,706. Total repayable £5,706.

FAQs about Everyday Loans

Who are Everyday Loans?

Everyday Loans began in 2006 dedicated to the idea of helping those whose credit rating was impaired somehow. They operate a branch-based business that allows them to take a flexible approach to lending. The ability to meet with the applicant for a face-to-face chat means they can decide to lend in situations where a totally online lender might not. Over the years they have helped tens of thousands of people get the unsecured credit they need. The face-to-face model also means that they score highly for customer satisfaction.

Who owns Everyday Loans?

Everyday Loans was acquired by Non-Standard Finance PLC (NSF) at the end of 2015. In recent years NSF has acquired a series of credit brands that operate in the UK’s poor credit space such as Selfy Loans (loans for the self-employed), George Banco (guarantor loans) and TrustTwo (guarantor loans).

Are Everyday Loans any good?

Customer satisfaction levels are very high and this is driven by the use of a branch-based model. The face-to-face meetings mean that customers engage directly with people rather than some faceless online system. This appears to be a winning formula. For instance, Everyday Loans score 4.8 out of 5 on Feefo based on over 2,100 ratings and reviews.

How does Everyday Loans work?

Your initial contact with Everyday Loans is likely to be online where you will submit your credit requirements and personal contact details. If the application process approves you you will be referred to your local branch for a meeting to finalise the loan. Branches tend to be located in the UK’s major towns and cities. It is possible that if there is no local brand that Everyday Loans’ central office will contact you instead.

Where is my local Everyday Loans branch?

Everyday Loans has over 70 branches throughout the UK. They tend to be located in towns and cities and between them cover 80% of the UK’s population. There is a high chance that there is one near you.

Is Everyday Loans a direct lender?

Yes, Everyday Loans is a direct lender offering unsecured loans of £1,000 to £15,000 for 18 to 60 months.

Is Everyday Loans a payday loan or lender?

No, Everyday Loans is not a payday lender (what is a payday loan?). They offer unsecured loans of £1,000 to £15,000 over 18 to 60 months.

Can I get an Everyday loan if I have a bad credit rating?

In principle, you can get a loan from Everyday Loans if you have a bad credit history because this is exactly what they were set up to do. They pride themselves in helping people whose credit rating means that they would ordinarily be rejected for an unsecured loan by high street lenders.

Can I get an Everyday loan if I'm self-employed?

Like many lenders, Everyday Loans is not able to lend if you are self-employed. But the good news is that their sister product Selfy Loans may be able to help you. This even applies if you are a sub-contractor. There are certain minimum criteria to satisfy but this unsecured loan could be just what you need for either personal or business reasons.

How quickly does Everyday Loans pay out?

Once you apply online and are accepted in principle your local branch will contact you to arrange the meeting to finalise your loan. You will be required to take documentation with you. The branch meeting should take no more than 45 minutes. In most cases, the branch will be able to confirm the details of the loan that it can make to you. The branch will do the necessary checks while you are there. If these are OK and if they are satisfied you can afford the repayments you should be able to leave with the cheque in your hand.

Can I repay my Everyday loan early?

Everyday Loans will be happy to consider the early repayment of your loan. You should contact them to discuss this and there should be no early redemption fees – Everyday Loans are proud that they do not charge any fees.
