SPRING COMPETITION OPEN FOR ENTRIES

The winner will receive £200 and publication on the Solution Loans website, with £50 and publication for three runners-up.
Here in the Solution Loans office our thoughts are turning to spring and the forthcoming royal wedding in May!
We’re therefore looking for short stories with the title or theme of “The Wedding Gift.” You may choose to interpret the theme however you wish, but don’t forget the advice from our judges in the last competition:
“As a writer, it’s worth remembering that your first idea for a story may often be someone else’s too, so it might be a good idea to dig again more deeply for a different or more unusual idea?”
Send us your story, between 1500 to 2500 words, in a single pdf, doc, docx, or txt file to [email protected] with the subject heading:

Entry is open to UK writers aged 18 or over. Entries must be the original and unpublished work of the entrant and not currently submitted for publication or for any other competition or award. Only one entry per person. Entrants retain copyright in their manuscripts.
The writing competition is free to enter.
Manuscripts can be uploaded in pdf, doc, docx, and txt formats. No zip files, or links to cloud files.
Please lay out your entry with a front page showing your name, address, phone number and email address. Please also give the story title and word count.
Competition judges will be appointed by Solution Loans and their decision will be final. No correspondence will be entered into.
Winners will be notified within two months of closing date after which date unplaced entries may be submitted elsewhere. Winning entries may not be submitted elsewhere for twelve months after that date without permission of Solution Loans who retain the right to publish winning entries in any form during those twelve months.
